No....that's not what he said....he said they were under fire....then Kerry bugged out.....the other baots suppressed the enemy fire.....and then Kerry returned at which point he picked up Rassman.....AFTER the enemy fire had stopped.....

Thurlow earned his medal....no need to send it back....
