I think we have to wait for the fallout from Najaf and Sadr city to predict what would happen to the US military troops in Iraq.

It is one thing for the world to standby and watch Bush order the US military into a sovereign nation under the pretext of "imminent threat." But when WMDs have not been found and the US military continues to remain in Iraq, the world would not view it the same way. Allawi is the hand picked successor to the US. It would be interesting to see what the Iraqi people think about Allawi when they go out o vote in January. I am assuming the elections are not rigged and would be held under the supervision of a body consisting of major world nations including Jimmy Carter.

I have no doubt that this would not be a problem with President Kerry. But it surely would be a probelm for Mr. Dick "Halliburton" Cheney and Mr. George "Saudi" Bush.
