Hey Dipy, you are same person that I exchanged posts with some two years ago on the Coffee Shop. We know we disagreed then. But on your comment about Iraq and likening it to the situation in Yugoslavia post-Tito is what I agree. Don't you think that Iraq should be split into 3.

I think President Kerry should look into that seriously. I don't know why Bush is on a wild goose chase with Allawi. Another Bush foreign policy failure in the making I guess.

But it was Clinton that put them there so it's OK.

I don't know whether Iraq will want to break up or not. It could happen. Though it isn't inevitable. As long as the Kurds aren't suppressed by Arabs within Iraq, they may be more secure as part of Iraq than an indeependent country. (I mention the Kurds as they are the group most likely to want to secede.)
