I would not make a big deal out of kerry's service. He was only in-country 4 months on a 12 month tour. He left his fellow servicemen and returned to the states after 4 months and received credit for a full tour. There were 2,500,000 military personnel who served a normal 12 month tour. Please provide the names of any military who served less than 8 months and received credit for a 12 month tour unless they were medevaced..... so far kerry is the only name which has surfaced.

for instance we did have some personnel who had to be reassigned to the states for compassionate or hardship reasons. guess what? they did not receive credit for a Viet-Nam tour.
