Ron, I've mentioned this on other threads, but it bears repeating. The GOP has a very odd, but, so far, effective, strategy. Whereever they perceive their candidate to have weaknesses, they attack the other candidate in the same area. Bush was AWOL from a champagne and caviar Air National Guard unit, so they attack Kerry's war record. Bush was a male cheerleader at an all male school, so they run bits on Edwards and Kerry as lovers. Bush is an insensitive twit, so they pound Kerry for using the adjective, sensitive, in a speech, along with many other adjectives they ignored. The First Lady is a brain dead Stepford Wife, so they smear Teresa for daring to have a thought or two. The Bush twins are drunk party girls, so they use a powerful light to make it look like the Kerry daughter is wearing see-through dresses. And it goes on and on.

If they can get Kerry to agree to not argue a point, they are removing a subject where their guy is vulnerable. Unfortunately for the GOP, Bush has done nothing right, so there are too many vulnerable areas to eliminate them all.

And that's without counting Cheney's shenanigans in business and in govt. BTW, have you noted that every time they discover that Cheney had a vote when he was in Congress that disagrees with the current agenda, they pound Kerry and Edwards for voting the same way as the Veep creep?
