The neocons will declare the debates to be a victory for their side no matter how they come out. I expect Karl and others to make demands on the people running the debates to favor junior. They will want to have copies of all the questions in advance and also do their best to keep the public from knowing the demands they make. They will want to write as many of the questions themselves as they can get away with. Junior will still mess it up and they will still praise him or pooh pooh his flubs just like they do when he says things like "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we,. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

I wouldn't get your hopes up. I predict he will have canned, well practiced responses that save him from having to do any thinking at all. Obviously, he can't have an answer for every possible question, so what he'll have is responses that match a nearly as possible, or, maybe completely change the subject. The same technique is used for developing bots to attempt to beat the Turing test. He'll just have a phrasebank of likely sounding bullshit. You hear the sort of stuff he'll use every time Scott McClellan opens his mouth.
