It's a question that calls for considerable nuance, imho, for a recognition of the complex factors involved .... always the situational parameters will have effect - for instance those of us who've designed our thrones with grand views of garden and pond and virgin forest, who've applied the foresight to provide quality reading material and good lighting, will tend to approach the process at home with rather less haste than while working in the woods, and so will be more likely to sit .... no squatting required, when foresight encompassed a seat ..... culture plays little part in this, i think, it's more an individual taste thing, but then as you point out, that observation could be a result of one's level of canadianicity, and it is a fact that reading material is frequently applied in latino villages to the other extremity of the participant

'Me voy a votar' - literally, 'I'm going [away] to vote' .... actually, a mexicanismo for 'I'm off to take a dump' .... yes, place and gender will play their roles won't they - my wife was shocked and is still titillated by outdoor urination [my 'bushes doctrine', if you like], but she still once in a while spits in the street, or is about to when she catches herself and recalls where she is .... quite acceptable down south, considered healthy to clear the mouth and throat of dust, but Simply Not Done here

'We can't throw it away - there is no Away' ..... that just sprung to mind .... for compost nitrogen try growing borage and comfrey, layer them in with the brown and keep nicely moist, they rot quick and seem to stimulate everything else rotting .... compost is all about balance between brown and green, brown being high in carbon, green high in nitrogen, get the ratio right and poof you've got the ultimate life form, humus

Can't quite put my finger on the correct application of the above to foreign affairs ..... hmm ... well how about this as a principle - While you may agree or disagree that the stance matters, the follow-through is definitely crucial

So what is this thread now, the "Bladder Monologues"? <g>

I guess it beats fighting Muslim terrorists with pig's blood, which was the topic the last time I checked in.
