I never watch Chris Matthews anymore but will this time. As for Hannity and Colmes, the Kerry camp had someone who was going to appear opposite O'Neill but apparently they backed out so O'Neill will speak unopposed.

Maybe Kerry figured out he blundered by going public on this issue and has decided not to keep stirring the pot.

On Democratic Underground they are outraged at CNN and PBS, especially Candy Crowley on CNN over the SwiftVets, taking them seriously.

Kerry is between a rock and a hard place on this one, and the books are still on backorder.

i will be very interested in hearing from thurlow. it will be interesting to hear how he responds to matthews' questions

Matthews will bully, interrupt, and call him a liar. His major problem will be keeping his cool.

matthews fell for his own trick question when he asked thurlow whether bush should raise the kerry vietnam issue. thurlow said he did not know, because bush was not there. that was a curve ball matthews could not hit.

thurlow did pretty well with his facts, but i don't know why he talked about a plan that he suspected kerry had to get out early. i think he should have just told matthews what happened completely, and he should have left out any of his suspicions or editorial opinions about kerry. if thurlow gets on some other program and just tells what happened in the mine incident, that will be sufficient. then if asked he can say what he thinks.

also thurlow either forgot to mention or did not get a chance to mention that he was handed a bronze star for that mission about three months after he separated from the navy.
