We have the right to gather. We also have the right to exclude others from our gathering. Free speech does not supercede the right to exclude others from our gathering.

In the same vein, free speech also doesn't supercede the right to private property. You can't walk into someone's home uninvited and start talking.

All this talk of free speech is foolish. You have to be a member to post here. And there are rules. SI can ban you for things you say.

"It gets in the way of serious discussion."

Right, you will have a real serious discussion by eliminating those you disagree with and those who have more knowledge than you.

By eliminating all mention of Judeocons in our Iraq war you in fact eliminate the central cause of the war. The deeper you get in ignorance, the more secure you feel in your ignorance.

It is always a mystery to look at those who fear any knowledge that contradicts their narrow perception of life and the world. Fear of truth! The scribes and Pharisees said the same about Jesus and the Apostles. I guess you are one of their spiritual grandchildren.
