Michelle Malkin was slightly distracted by Matthews constant blather because she failed to be specific about the "shot himself" remark. John Kerry threw a grenade into large pile of bags of rice that were being destroyed in order to keep them out of VietCong hands. He was too close to the target & piece of shrapnel hit him in the hip. That's what she was referring to when she said he made a medal application for a self-inflicted wound. He did apply for one of his medals following that incident. I'm certain Michelle will correct her oversight in her widely read newspaper column.
