While I don't agree with Iran and it's policies - they do have elected politicians (elections are not a sham) and many of them are brilliant.

It is the dual nature of power structure that I am concerned about where Mullahs have an upper hand over elected officials.

Iran should have been dealt with prior to Iraq. Dipy is right about Iran's crowing rights of the fact that US cleaned out it's arch enemy in Iraq without spending a dime.

Of course they are brilliant. They used Chalabi (remember him?) to egg Dumbya to invade Iraq and get stuck in the quagmire.

Well, maybe not all that brilliant since the person that got fooled was Dumbya. Maybe it was not so much their brilliance as Dumbya's stupidity?!
