Good points there. The terrorists are not directly advocating democracy that point is clear. The terrorists believe that they are helping fundamentalist islamic theocracy. In reality I believe they are actually helping democracy because the non radical majorities of the populations line the terrorists with the theocracy movement and want nothing to do with either one. The majority populations are seeing first hand the pitfalls of a mixture of religion and government. Iraq will be democratic in a few years. The population of Iran is watching and if they see success in Iraq, they will demand some democratic reforms there. Saudia Arabia is just starting to give out some piecemeal democratic reforms at the local level. That gets the ball rolling. In several generations, the whole region will be transformed.
