Carly Patterson, Amanda Beard, and Jodie Henry rock!

.......... Why isn't NBC interviewing some of these fabulous swimmers who aren't American? Are we really such a blatantly provincial country? With a President like Bush I would venture to say that the answer to the question is obvious.

The Australian swimmers like Jodie Henry, Ian Thorpe, and Leisel Jones obviously speak English. So interviewing them doesn't present language problems.

Yana Klochkova won the 200-meter and 400-meter individual medleys in Sydney and this week. That's spectacular! Instead, NBC repeatedly interviews Michael Phelps, Natalie Coughlin, and Amanda Beard. I love those three American swimmers. But I want to hear Yana, even through an interpreter.
