Thanks...I just book marked the site. Vietnam was a watershed time for the US. I was a young Mom, we had just lived through JFK's murder, then MLKing, and Bobby Kennedy...Civil riots, and massive rebellion about the War. Our Government sent our young men to war, and then didn't fund them. If Kerry had come back to say that, most of us could have supported him in that. BUT he didn't. He was all over the place, talking with the very people who were leading the people the US was fighting, all the while our soldiers were dying. He lied about the soldiers and atrocities, never provided a shred of proof for what he did say to the Senate in 1971...all the while our soldiers were fighting a war, and being killed. He and Jane Fonda were symbols of Americans who were killing our Military Americans.
Now, here he is again. This time he wants to be President. He must think that the great unwashed American man and woman doesn't remember who he was, and who he now is. Most of us do remember. And those that don't, are smart enough to read about both he and Bush. One has to sort through the rubbish about both, but it is out there.

I personally would like to know GWB. He certainly had his flings during college, but eventually he settled down, has a nice family, and works like a dog. How many other people do you or I know that work as many hours as do Presidents and their staff?

I don' have any desire to meet John Kerry. I watch him on TV, and on C-SPAN for uninterrupted camera time, watch his wife, and see the people he has surrounded himself with. All of them combined make an impression. In my mind, not a good one.
