I couldn't agree more. I wonder what kind of future our children and grandchildren will face after Bush turned a CBO projected $5 trillion surplus to a $5 trillion deficit. And, yes, the untruths by the Swiftboat Vets are starting to become apparent. Character, accountability, honesty, and attitude... John Kerry has demonstrated those qualities time and time again. Kerry volunteered for military service, volunteered for combat duty, had the courage to speak out against our wrong course in Viet Nam, served honorably in the US Senate for 16 years. Bush? Used connections to get him into the TANG, then transferred to Ala and never showed up for work, got nailed for drunk driving, selected a VP with 3 DUI convictions, sold a defunct oil company to his buddies, used insider info to unload another before bad earnings came out, turned a $100,000 investment in a baseball team into millions after the taxpayers built him a stadium, spent four years as Texas Gov where his proudest achievement was signing death warrants, got appointed to the presidency, sat and read "My Pet Goat" as New York burned, invaded Afghanistan with mercenaries who let Osama slip away, opposed creation of a commission to investigate 9/11, invaded Iraq under false pretenses and killed nearly a thousand of our finest soldiers in a wild goose chase for WMD, turned budget surpluses to unbelievable deficits, has the worst job creation record since Herbert Hoover, appointed a whacko Attorney General who covers statues in the Dept of Justice, became the first President in memory not to speak before the NAACP, raised the allowable limits for arsenic in drinking water, stopped overtime pay for millions of workers while preaching "family values", can't speak a compound sentence without mangling the english language, held the fewest press conferences in presidential history, admits he doesn't read newspapers, requires people to sign loyalty statements before admitting them to campaign rallys... Where's the character, honesty, accountability and attitude you see in Bush? Can we afford to have a man of his caliber in the White House when our very lives, and those of our children, and grandchildren and friends are at stake? Pretty soon the untruths start to stack up.... Character, accountability, honesty, and attitude aren't just words in the dictionary. They count in our Commander-In-Chief.
