Popular vote doesn't matter. There are 50 states.

Popular vote says you can win just one if it's a big one. Electoral college says you need to bring people in.

Popular vote says make the cities happy. Make Big Labor happy, make minorities happy, make the Blue States happy. Electoral college says make the Red States happy.

Popular vote would mean gearing policies towards cities only. Electoral college means keeping the rural areas happy, too. West Virginia. Ohio. Pennsylvania. Wyoming.

I am sleepy. More tomorrow.
