BITTER FEUDS RATTLE RIGHTWING RADIO--FRANKEN BEMUSED 04/04/04 NEW YORK, New York Two separate feuds broke out among conservative radio talk show hosts this weekend, leaving liberal newcomer Al Franken "longing for some restraint and solidarity in the radio talk show industry." First, rightwing radio talk hosts G. Gordon Liddy and Bill O'Reilly engaged in a verbal slugfest over Liddy's assertion that O'Reilly's radio show "sucks worse than the toilet facilities in the federal pen." Liddy made the assertion during an appearance on Franken's brand new talk show, The O'Franken Factor. When Franken subsequently revealed that the host in question is Hannity's former colleague, Neal Boortz, Boortz fired back by claiming on-air that Hannity's wife "fakes her own orgasms just to get more credit cards and raise her allowance." The two feuds complicate an ongoing feud between Boortz and O'Reilly that began when Boortz faked an opinion about O'Reilly's opposition to racially segregated high school proms, then escalated when O'Reilly called Boortz a "vicious SOB," also on-air.
