Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11" is based on facts which, to date, have not been refuted, as far as I am aware.
(Although I have heard that some Saudis are going to come out with big ads to contradict him on their being allowed to fly home in the wake of 9/11. But I am not surprised about this, given the alleged close ties between the Bush family and the Saudis.)

By contrast, the Swift Vets' stuff have been shown to have inconsistencies and inaccuracies in them.

BTW, the Bush camp has entertainers to help them along, too! The Bushies no doubt also realize that the American public love entertainers big-time!
