What do you forecast for estimated earnings in 2005 and beyond ?

I need to understand two things before arriving at a reasonable estimate. What is the status of revenue recognition for WCDMA networks under construction and what exactly they are talking about with potential service revenue being low GM but high cash generation. I think the latter means there is no R&D or G&A associated with it, but am not sure. I may need to meet with Nortel some time this fall, I contacted them earlier about WCDMA revenue but they weren't willing to offer much information while doing the restatements.

I think their earnings potential is .40/sh for 2005, with quite a bit of leveraged earnings potential(above that) going beyond 2005.

Nortel is targeting annualized cost savings of approximately $450 million to $500 million

I wouldn't count these savings before they're realized. This struck me more as deadwood pruning than any serious restructuring. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see management ranks remain constant or grow somewhat in size during the next year or so.
