You dont have any remorse for all the folks on both sides who died for nothing? And get real Mike, soldiers are always used by the leaders. You have to keep up the appearance of vietnam somehow being righteous and being betrayed by the pols, because if not your would have to face how awful it is to participate in a war without merit. Your buddies died for nothing as did the enemy for that matter. The settlement at the end could have been attained 4 years earlier with how many lives being saved. I understand what motivated us to get into vietnam just as i do in iraq but when it becomes clear that the goals cant be attained to continue the war for reasons of false pride is a horror. Hope we dont relive it in iraq. Allawi needs to become a real leader and not suffer the same fate as former american puppets, diem, ky, thieu. Mike
