What a liar. It is exactly as I thought. You can't find Bush making the statement "Mission Accomplished" as you claimed he said. Bush claims he declared they had accomplished a mission in taking down Saddam, which is certainly true. But this claim of yours is just false, Emile. It is devilishly deceptive. You are no man of God. You are a man of the devil.

You ought to stop being such a godless liar.

Distortion of Bush's "Mission Accomplished" Speech

Kerry statement:

Citing the "Mission Accomplished" banner, Kerry said, "I don't think there's anyone in this room today or 6,000 miles away who doesn't wish that those words had been true ... but we've seen the news. We've seen the pictures. And we know we are living through days of great danger."

Bush statement:

"A year ago I did give the speech from the carrier saying we had achieved an important objective, accomplished a mission, which was the removal of Saddam Hussein," Bush said. "As a result, there are no longer torture chambers or mass graves or rape rooms in Iraq."

Anyone who's even remotely objective and reasonable would have to believe Bush's statement about what he meant by "Mission Accomplished." Throughout the conflict in Iraq, Bush has repeatedly set public expectations that our troops would be there for a long time. At no time did he even *hint* that we were anywhere close to removing our troops. From the beginning-and to this day--he steadfastly (and wisely) refuses to give any sort of time table for our involvement.
