I sense that Teresa has never overcome her grief over losing John Heinz. It must have felt familiar when she met another senator. She still associated with many of the same social circle. Possibly it was comforting for her to once again have a prominent husband. Now it's becoming an embarrassment for her. Currently Kerry is probably working as hard to answer Teresa's inquiries re SwiftVets as he is to refute the facts in "Unfit for Command".
