I also have a problem with this comment from the article:

the Treasury would have saved $90 billion this year alone, according to Democrats on the Joint Economic Committee of Congress. That's money that could have been better spent at a time of rising deficits and war in Iraq.

Letting taxpayers keep LESS of what they have EARNED will NOT save the Treasury $90 billion. The problem is that politicians have NOT reduced their spending.
