I used to live in Mt. View. I disliked Silicon Valley. The bay area might be nice, but it's way too expensive.
What if your choice were working in the bay area ( or S. Cal., where I was ) or completely slacking in flyover country? That's the choice people in some of the hot real estate areas have now.
