xxreno, We have an amazing situation developing. We have a huge balance of payments deficit and therefore huge pressure on the $. Now - we are told the $ must fall to balance the trade defecit. If that were to happen the cost of energy would go even higher and exacerbate the problem. At the same time there is the Euro. I can assure you that the value of the Euro is already killing a dead economic system. If the Euro falls further - stick a fork in those guys. Where does this go? How is this resolved? I have no clue - but I suspect an investment of a portion of one's portfolio in gold is a good idea. Bob
