How ironic how the lie attack is so relevant on the return!

Just like Ann Coulter always does, you're putting words in my mouth, jficquette.
I don't want Max Cleland to have received his injury any certain way. want him to have received his wounds at all, though unfortunately I can't change history. What I want is for people like Ann Coulter and AnnCorrigan to show some respect for a man who gave up as much for his country as Max did.

Coulter fails to mention two things in her column:

1) She said last week, twice, that Cleland "dropped a grenade on his foot," and that was a lie.

2) Cleland did in fact exhibit incredible heroism on the battlefield in Vietnam, even if the grenade accident specifically was not an example of said heroism. Both you and Coulter have utterly ignored the fact that Cleland won a richly deserved Silver Star for risking his life to help his fellow soldiers during the siege of Khe Sahn on April 4, 1968, so even if Cleland isn't a war hero because of the grenade incident specifically he's still a war hero for his other exploits. For someone who claims to have such respect for America, it surprises me that you (and Coulter) would go to such lengths to avoid giving Cleland his due.
