The vet who speaks first in that ad was in many ways the one that affected me the most when I first watched them at their press conference several months ago.

He's sort of chubby and has a bit of a baby face so maybe he brought out the maternal instinct but when he said that his wife and his daughters demanded to know if he really committed war crimes and were heart-broken it made me cry. You could see that he was still dumbfounded, bewildered and hurt.

I was opposed to the war but never never randomly accused Americans of war crimes. These people - and I've locked horns with them on FADG - argue that it's the nature of war to commit war crimes and "everybody does it" but just won't admit it.

You know, it's hard enough to fight in a war, and it's hard enough to have to shoot other human beings who are not so very different from yourself, I would never wish that on anybody, but to be accused of deliberately engaging in moral outrages is just beyond the pale. Especially by people who want to say "well, I never saw it myself but it was told to me therefore it's true and you should believe it."

I just know that studies of men during WWI and even WWII showed that most did not fire their guns during battle. If they were depraved, why wouldn't they shoot? They had to be taught to shoot and kill their fellow man. That tells me that men are not by nature depraved.

Kerry's sophistication blinded him to the simple truth. He thought he knew everything already. Later he knew he lied but did not know how to get around it.

Devastating Swiftvet transcript It is indeed...heard it a few times on Hannity and a local talk show while in the car today....

I'm still stunned that Kerry and Group could and would file to try to stop free speech...ESPECIALLY against the Vets that earned that right more than anyone to say what they have to say.

What on earth are these people thinking?????
