Given the lurching downwards US$ and the zooming up oil and the booming China and Japan and New Zealand and USA and the big borrowings getting bigger and the general irrational exuberance, I think it's time to whack everyone with another interest rate rise. And another. And again. Make them cry! Make sure they hand over their assets at a cheap price if they can't pay their debts. Debtors need to relearn the age old verities of learning, working, saving, investing and the risk of wanton borrowing to buy depreciating goods and valueless services. Mqurice
