The media is setting up a defense of kerry by asserting that the "swiftboats HATE kerry because he was such a wise and noble man who was brave enought to stand up for the righteous by opposing that unholy war." They might be trying to do that, or they might have grasped that questioning the swifties' motives is the only line of defense that is likely to work. Doesn't matter. It will still turn everybody's attention to the question of just what was that testimony all about, so long, long ago? This is NOT something John Kerry wants to talk about.
