Hi Arnie,

AUO looks good!!

After the L on Aug.4 at 10.50 (which was a little below its Nov.20 L at 11.10 and its Dec.17 L at 11.20 <g>),it seems to have found support at the 11 level and is headed to test the resistance at 15.

The company has significant LTD (1.10B) but its Deb/Eq ratio is around 0.29 and reportedly its cash/share is around $2.26 The B.V. around $8.15 Insiders reportedly hold a good chunk (close to 30%)of the large float.

Flat panels displays remain a hot item, not only for computers monitors, but also for digital cameras, portable televisions, etc.,etc. (AUO's flat panels are of the LCD type and competition from OLED seems still somewhat away.<g>)

At any rate, AUO's revenues and earnings have been increasing not only at a "significant" but at an "accelerated" pace in the last 3Qs.<g> (Revenues were up 59%, 105% and 154% for the Sept.,Dec. and March Qs respectively and earnings up 357%, 917% and 999% <g>)

The EE for the current year are around $2.75 which means further gains are expected for the pending June Sept. & Dec. Qs

With a PE of 14 a forward PE of 5 and a dividend of 2% (not counting the recent 5% in stock <g>)the stock looks good after its recent "buy signal" on the chart on Aug.18. (albeit the stock hasn't closed that intra-day up-gap.)(You may have to check with Ken on that last item.<g>)
