<<< John Kerry did not blame soldiers. He blamed those old people...>>>

<<< Please show me something that indicates Kerry blamed old people (Americans) for cutting off ears and heads, for mutilating the dead, and for raping women on the battlefield.

Everything I've seen indicates he blamed all that on American soldiers.
>>>

It was my opinion that John Kerry <<< blamed those old people who put the young men in a position where they had to kill or be killed.>>>

I don't think John Kerry ever said that all soldiers - or even any sizable numbers - <<<(Americans) for cutting off ears and heads, for mutilating the dead, and for raping women on the battlefield.>>>

You were there in combat - I respect that. I will respect your answer. You tell us if those stories ever circulated - that people told those stories or not.

Those are only stories. I don't think we should now or ever go after Americans - who are put into situations - where they could do harm - blame them for their actions.

If we put Americans in harms way, we should give them the benefit of any doubt.

We should only hold senior military and civilian leaders for dereliction of duty - if they lose control of people under their command in gross violations of conduct.

Anyhow, that is my opinion. American soldiers (even officers) in combat should be given every benefit of the doubt - if not total amnesty.

I hope I am not being ambiguous and leave room for misinterpretation of what I am trying to say.
