It is part of the character assassination. They can't argue the issues, or how they'd fix the issues, because they're the ones that broke America. So, they attempt to portray Kerry with innuendo, surrogate attacks, and FOX-style lie-mantras (repeat a lie enough times and it sticks in peoples minds - a favorite Goebbels trick). I can't wait for the debates, when Bush will be on his own, and have to actually talk about issues. We'll see how well his handlers train him between now and then...
