Democrats basic changes

No wars killing thousands of innocent civilians

No string of lies to the people as an excuse for war

No gutting the American economy robber baron style

No huge tax cuts we can't pay for

The end of $400 billion yearly deficits

the downside

Sucking American into the UN

they will try socialized medicine again (hopefully it fails again)

they will try gun control again

try and recognize same sex marriages nationwide

the will do nothing to stop the NWO, but neither will the Republicans

and like the Republicans they will keep whipping the fear of terrorism tactic to erode our rights dragging us to a police state

I wouldn't hold your breath. The Clinton years are as satisfied as I've been with our national leadership in my lifetime. That said, Clinton could have been even more effective without being hobbled by his personal failings. I also feel his personal failings eroded Gore's support enough to allow a complete slime like Bush to take over. It would take a major disaster of some sort to bring about the change a lot of us would like, and even then, it probably won't have been what we wished for. Be grateful for small advances, and work to elect Kerry.

It's just that I don't see the Israel/Palestine issue as something that would bring about more pluralistic party system here. Even if there were 3, 4 or even 5 "major" parties to choose from, there would still be no guarantee that any of them would be able to bring about change there.
