The more I hear about Kerry, the better I like him. I supported Clark for the nomination, and specifically did not want Dean (too far left).

This debate has actually shown that Kerry has more depth, conviction, and bravery than I'd previously believed. It has shown that he is indeed a war hero, one who came home and could have lounged around, but instead STILL attempted to save his fellow vets. Then, after the war, he continued to look after them, promoting vet benefits and working with John McCain on MIA issues.

During these times, Bush drank, lived off Daddy, ruined one business, made a questionable stock sale, got rewarded with a gift chunk of a sports franchise.

Some comparison.

I disagree TidyGlidy. We're getting to know John Kerry probably better than we've ever known ANY presidential candidate in my memory. Most of the Repugnican investigation of Clinton occurred after he was already in office. I feel I know Kerry better than I know George W. Bush, who has whole decades of his life he refuses to discuss, and a failed presidency he doesn't want to talk about either. He can't give a press conference. So far, despite the best efforts of the Rove slime machine, Kerry's holding up very well.

TG, We know John Kerry as a genuine war hero from the account of a very credible witness - Mr Rood - editor of the Chicago Tribune.
