"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer." Just went back to the original post and we should have thought of that as a potential problem. The warning about shutting down to prevent damage was a redlight for heat problems. I don't know how we missed that. I'm glad you found the solution. Everyone should take the cover off and check for dust bunnies every few months. That would catch it before heat causes a real problem.
