As per your:

"I hadn't realized it was solely a "democratic" war and I sure didn't know that the "elite east coast press" and the North Vietnamese were allied."

You really have to start paying attention, or people are going to assume you are just a long winded lightweight. I wrote several times about the appropriate way to body count the Vietnam War. Take the casualties, year by year, assign those casualties to the president in power, lagging by one year (that is, LBJ's casualties extend until Dec. 31 of the year Nixon took office, for obvious reasons . . .), and then tell me whose war Vietnam was. By the numbers.

As for the east coast press aligning with the Vietcong and misleading the country, just Google "Tet Offensive" and begin reading the sorry history of the 4th estate in the Vietnam Conflict.

For those of you who have been paying attention, I apologize for repeating these messages.
