They need to return the games to all amateur participants because these jaded professionals do not inspire olympic spirit in youth.

I have the DVD of "Miracle" and I've played it over and over with my kid. Great stuff. Herb Brooks really knew how to create a TEAM out of kids used to competing against each other, and training them to win.

I'm not up on the subject enough to know which are the professionals. Some of those runners are in their 40s, which impresses me.

I enjoy watching the closeups of their faces, and that's basically all I remember--not whether they won or lost. One young black woman in the sprints had the look of a lioness eyeing an impala. I'll never forget that. One of the American divers had eyes that put the pool to shame. I'll never forget that either. But I have no idea who won what medal, or lost.
