cirrus, the 60 SwiftVets served within yards of Kerry every day in Vietnam. In fact many of the officers shared sleeping qtrs with him every night. The boats operated in close proximity to each other. Many of the 10 who "served on his boat" did so for time spans as short as one wk and no more than a few wks. The crew member who served the longest on Kerry's boat was Steve Gardner, who is a member of SwiftVets for the Truth group. Gardner was on the boat with Kerry for 2 months....longest of all his crewmembers. Gardner has stated that John Kerry has exaggerated & fabricated many details of incidents they experienced together in Vietnam.
