You're wrong about that JCP. As History books acknowledge both Korea & Vietnam were major battles in the Cold War. Ultimately as a result of Pres Reagan's brilliant strategy, USA won the Cold War. Vietnam was not a mistake & the lives lost were NOT in vain. That military action along with Korea helped stem the tide of totalitarianism in 3rd world countries. How many nations would have become communist states at the point of a gun, if that brutally oppressive form of gov was never challenged?
