"f you believe Rood.....there are many contradictions...." Rood is just another Republican with a conscience like Senators McCain and Warner. Rood does point out many contradictions in the self-serving Republican campaigns Swiftboat team. There were three swiftboats involved in the battle. Rood was commanding the boat immediately behind Kerry's boat and carefully observed the entire action. Rood was also decorated with a Bronze Star for his participation in the battle. The boat commander immediately behind Rood also observed the action but was killed in a similar action soon after this battle. His death clearly shows the intensity of combat that these Swiftboat veterans were experiencing in those days. So you are correct in saying that Rood uncovered "many contradictions" in O'Neils self-serving Republican Swiftboat team.
