Let's first determine what the "official" version is, and then I'll tell you if I believe it or not. If the "official version" is simply that terrorists from a loosely-knit group which has come to be classified - perhaps somewhat inaccurately, and maybe quite so - as al Qaeda hijacked passenger planes and flew them into various targets, then, yes: that is what I believe happened, and I haven't yet seen any information contrary to that which even begins to approach my standards for credibility.
