only those who do not understand the huge misallocation of capital in the last three years or more in the 1990s that created so many duplicate companies and duplicate jobs; only those who do not understand greenspan's merry bailouts for the asian collapse and mexico's blowup, and the free money created thereby; only those who do not understand the message of the 2 yr through 30 year bond markets in late 1999 and 2000 could think anything other than the big economic downturn was upon us in late 1999/early 2000. now that might be a lot of people, but they are incorrect. the current admin's job is to get the message out (if they can), and that may or may not happen. i am not trying to blow my horn, because i have been involved in stocks and bonds for a long time. the technical warning signs of huge econ problems ahead were everywhere from 1998 into summer of 2000.
