I appreciate your sentiment "no matter who wins this election we must all get behind him and support him".

I've agreed with that sentiment in every other election.

But there is no way I can support George Bush. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for 2 years. I no longer trust anything Bush says. Once trust is lost, the relationship is irretrievable.

Sorry, but America will be deeply divided if Bush gets a 2nd term and I will dedicate myself to fighting him every single day.

Unclewest. You said...." Last point..Neither the dem's, repub's nor the general American public know how to deal with this terrorism issue..while we were blissfully ignorant and enjoying our unprecendented prosperity, they were busy learning our system of thought, behaviour, technology..to use it against us..not only were we caught 'sleeping' on 9/11..we voting Americans had barely a clue of what Islam is all about."......

Agreed. IMO a big problem is that the majority of people in the free world have been taught from birth that freedom of religion is somehow sacred and even if this particular freedom is used as a means to kill Americans and others in the free world it MUST ( blindly ) be protected.

Why should an enemy ( radical islam ) that slithers it's way into free societies using the free worlds kindness and welcoming attitude to newcomers be given any of the protections and freedoms that belong to honest citizens of America and other free world countries?

IMO the majority in the free world are not capable of thinking like the enemy ( radical islam ). An enemy that will murder ALL in the name of their religion. How many of these crazy islam nut bars in custody are actually being protected by democratic laws put in place to provide equal protection for citizens of free countries that are accused of wrong doing.

Our inability to think like or understand the enemy ( radical islam ) is going to make this a very long long long war against an enemy that uses the basic freedoms of the free world as weapons to murder us.
