Could it be they were looking into each others eyes as Kerry and Edwards do now? If so, maybe things really did get hot without bullets flying, and they jumped in to be out of sight to cool off? Where were those flying hands under water???

Has anyone from the media asked what Rassman was doing in the boat with Kerry in the first place?


Some info has turned up. Here is what Rassman says.

"1st Lt James A Rassman was executive officer of A-Detachment (404), a 12 man Green Beret unit. michnews.com

This report said he was hitching a ride back to base after a assignment. Other reports say he was with Kerry for a couple of days.
