They insulted the Guard, the President, and then made 4 months of service the cornerstone of their campaign. In walk the pissed off vets who clearly remember what kerry said when he came home. I dont buy their entire criticism of kerry as not being a war hero. He was there. He was shot at. I wasnt so i will not throw stones. OK, the swiftys accomplished something with vets that have shown up in modest overall gains for bush. Now going forward what to do. You say "I'm ready to talk issues other than Vietnam when kerry is." I say lets talk up other issues now as we leave kerry in the quagmire of vietnam and his service and post service confusion. Now its time to start on the undistinguished career angle and there we have no argument. Flip flop in vietnam is not a flip flop over one issue. He is both an ambitious and tormented man who is married to and alpha woman. Stop fighting with Boy Kerry and lets take on kerry the man. Convention would be a good place to start. For that guys like UW and the swiftboaters need to back off some. mike
