In response to Q1 which says:

1. Is "how Kerry is doing?" subject to opinion? or does a step off the path of the party line result in banishment from the thread?

Also taboo per the thread header du jour are "smears", defined by Webster as: "A usually unsubstantiated charge or accusation against a person or organization."

The Swiftvets ad is unsubstantiated. $ figures figuring in the ad have admitted that in public interviews on TV. Another one who appeared on the ad was a member of the Bush campaign and hence the ad is illegal. In light of the above, discussing that ad over and over again without any substance excet name calling is subject to a ban.

About "how Kerry is doing." It is OK to take the issues he has raised on his web site and break them apart, piece by piece with facts and figures.

In respose to Q2 which says:
2. If I make a substantiated charge or accusation that you do not want to read, does that subject me to banishment?

Yes indeed if it is a sniding remark, that comes through in repeated posts.

In response to Q3 which says:
3. Are posters that "smear" President Bush subject to the same proscriptions as those who post unflattering truths about John Kerry?

The answer is yes. Speaking about Mrs. Bush, or Bush daughters is not allowed. BUt certainly his policies which impact us such as jobs, healthcare, sending people to fight a senseless war icluding their battlefield experience and hence their suitability to be Commander in Chief etc. is all fair game.
