Interesting. In Canada its illegal to have private health care, but then most everyone lives fairly close to the US and can go there for a choice.

kumar, What you are getting, could make life long American citizens feel a bit of animosity toward you. The basis if Social Security, and Medicare, is the forced deduction from the paychecks of those citizens during their working years. In a way, you are taking away money that they paid into the program. You are getting the benefits that you, really, don't qualify for. That's called pushing up to the federal hog trough.

And I do hope that the law is changed. There are too many free loaders these days.

BTW, Are you receiving benefits from New Zealand too?
