Yet Lt. Kerry gave numerous speeches and testimony before Congress inappropriately leading his audiences to believe that what was only an anomaly in the conduct of America's fighting men was an epidemic

The strange thing is, Kerry could have delivered his testimony nearly effectively had he stuck to the truth. The VC strategy was to make it impossible for the Americans to tell friend from foe, and nobody disputes that a huge number of innocent people got killed by Americans who were trying NOT to commit war crimes, but to fight the VC. But no, Kerry went for the easy headline.

I am sure the families of the millions of people we killed in Vietnam will be relieved to learn that "such acts were few and far between". They need to know that we killed millions of people honorably.

Yes, Jlallen, there's no "proof" that millions of Vietnamese died in the war, BUT the existence of "cover your ass" memos by military officers "proves" that Kerry and others lied about the implicit approval or negligent tolerance by our senior commanders of out-of-control killing during the Vietnam war.

Way to go attorney action hero, nice legal view.
