I'm as glad as hell that I avoided Vietnam. My military records are brief but pithy: lottery #231 in the first lottery in early 1970. I have a number of friends who served in Vietnam. I admire them. The last thing I would ever do is criticize them in any way regarding their service. I hope the last thing Bush is remembered for is using third-party toads to attack Kerry's service iin Vietnam. /john
