"Is it going up, down or sideways? Are energy stocks going to reflect energy prices anytime soon? Anybody have any good stock ideas (long or short)?"

1. Yes

2. No

and 3. No.

Best to stay in cash until after Sept, October is over and this year maybe best to wait till after elections.

If oil prices decline, OSX stocks will sell off. If oil prices go much higher, OSX stocks will sell off.

Best stock tip of the day is stay in cash for now. Higher inflation, higher interest rates, election uncertainty, pre-election terrorist uncertainty and a slower economy around the corner. Sept/October have never been kind to the energy stocks.

Maybe you can catch an over sold bounce on some high beta stocks like brother Bum likes to do??

John,

I went "fully invested" last week. I was able to catch a very nice bounce as all of my positions with the exception of PTEN are up double figures, several up 20% or more.

I was fortunate to catch the text book bounce that I had been patiently waiting for.

If I weren't fully invested, I don't think I would be adding anything at this point but, I haven't been looking either since I'm already fully invested.

I will probably look to take profits in the next day or two by selling half of my positions.

Looks like we will have a Nasdaq bounce for a week or so....

Basic industrial materials, RYBIX seem to be doing okay.
